Hey there, lovers! It is that special time of year and we know you have been missing us. So what better way to show how much we really do love all of you, than to throw our very own Valentine’s Day Date Party at The Union Bar this Friday, Feb. 14? Yes, you heard that right. This is happening on actual Valentine’s Day! So if you have plans with your partner, or are finally going on that date with your crush, cancel them and bring your date to The Union. I mean seriously, how can you have better plans than hanging out with the coolest and hottest org on campus? And I can promise you this is a night you will not want to miss, as there is much to miss out on!
It wouldn’t be a Variant x The Union event if we didn’t curate our very own cocktail menu. So, make sure to stop by the bar to grab a drink to make you feel extra flirty. Whether that is a Love Spell Sparkle or a Blush & Crush, you are not going to want to miss out on these delicious sips.
Variant has decided to take their very own special twist on any regular date party or Union event by hosting Valentine’s Day-themed games that can even end up with you winning a very special Valentine’s Day prize. These special games can range from how well do you know your Valentine to not forgetting about our singles out there and playing cupid by setting them up with their perfect match. So, if you are a couple and you are reading this right now, this is your sign to study up!
One of the most notable parts of any party, but more specifically a Valentine’s Day party, is the music. Duh! Love songs galore are what is probably running through your mind right now and you’re right. Well kind of right. You can find some tunes to grab that special someone and drag em’ to the dance floor but most importantly the music will have you Blushin. That’s right, Athens' very own Blush will be playing! Blush is Athens’ hottest new all femme band and they rock. You will not want to miss when they hit the stage Friday and make the mood just right. Bring your dancing shoes because you are gonna need em’.
We are a fashion magazine after all, let's talk fits. The options are endless. Here at Variant we are constantly expressing ourselves 24/7 and we want everyone else to do the same. Whether you feel like getting in the Valentine’s Day spirit by putting on some pinks and reds or those colors simply aren’t vibe, come dressed as you! We have been calling this event a date party, but don't feel pressured to come in a dress or a suit. Just promise to come dressed in what you love and we will be over the moon!
As you just heard, this event is going to be everything and more! You do not wanna miss it. The party will start at 9 p.m. on Friday Feb. 14. Admission is free for those 21 and up, and $5 if you are 18 and up. This party is to go all night, so if you can’t make it right at 9 p.m., no worries, we will still be going.
