Are you looking for a new and fun way to spend time with friends and family? Well look no further than Tabletop Board Game Cafe. Tabletop, which is located in Ohio City, in Cleveland, Ohio, isn’t your traditional cafe. Offering an interactive experience for all ages, it features over 1,200 board games, weekly trivia nights and seasonal DIY design sessions.

Tabletop was established in 2015 by couple Brady and Shiva Risner. Shiva went to a board game cafe in Toronto for her bachelorette party and returned home raving about her experience. An eight-hour drive, which was the beginning of their honeymoon, started with a joke about opening their own board game cafe in Cleveland. But, as they continued on their journey, the couple became much more serious about the concept, which led to the opening of Tabletop in 2015.

You may be thinking, but where do all these board games come from? Well, Risner acquires board games from the distributors themselves, thrift stores and collectors. The employees keep informed on all things board games to ensure they are stocked with the most popular games.

With so many games to choose from, making a decision of which you would like to play during your time can get pretty overwhelming. Thankfully, you are free to browse the gaming selection, check out their game spotlight of the week or ask the staff for a recommendation. The Tabletop team has even created their own game! LAAG is a dexterity game handcrafted from wood in which two to six people battle to be the last team standing!

While playing board games, one may get hungry! But no worries, Tabletop also has its own cafe with delicious food and drinks. The cafe serves everything from sandwiches, pizzas and desserts to drinks, smoothies and milkshakes. Also, for those over 21, it serves beer, wine, a wine smoothie and a hard root beer float.

Tabletop is open for walk-in gaming sessions, but the team encourages everyone to make a reservation. You can do so by visiting its website at
